SkyRun Vacation Rentals was founded in 2004 by Barry Cox and Steve Falk in Keystone, Colorado. What began as a single-location vacation rental property management company quickly grew into something much more. Motivated by their own experiences with short-term rental management, Barry and Steve set out to create a better solution for homeowners and guests alike. Their mission was simple: provide exceptional service, local expertise, and a personal touch. Recognizing the growing demand for vacation rentals in other leisure markets, Barry and Steve realized that SkyRun’s unique brand, innovative systems, and proven processes could be successfully applied in new locations. However, they never lost sight of one core principle—local ownership. They believed that by empowering local operators, SkyRun could deliver superior service to homeowners and guests while fostering strong community ties. In 2014, Barry brought the SkyRun vision to the Destin, Florida area opening his very own branch. This expansion brought SkyRun’s commitment to exceptional vacation experiences to one of the most sought-after beach destinations in the U.S. In the spring of 2021, SkyRun faced a tremendous loss with the passing of founder and CEO Barry Cox after a courageous battle with cancer. His legacy, however, lives on through the SkyRun brand and its community of dedicated local owners. Today, the Destin location is proudly owned and operated by David and Leslie Seay, who continue to uphold Barry’s vision of providing personalized, high-quality vacation rental experiences. Deeply rooted in the Destin community, David and Leslie are committed to offering homeowners and guests the same warmth, care, and professionalism that SkyRun has been known for since its inception.
